What is the Internal Agent?

The Internal Agent, also known as the CloudSoda Controller Agent, is the Agent that comes preinstalled with the CloudSoda software. You can identify this agent on the agent's page by its name, Internal1. Its main purpose is to get the end-user up and running quickly without the need to install an external Agent, which is an Agent that is downloaded and installed on a server external to the CloudSoda Controller.

The Internal Agent can connect to object stores, NFS, and SMB file shares, but it does not support a local path. Moreover, the Internal Agent is not supported for agent-to-agent transfers.

WARNING: Do not use the local Accessor for the Internal Agent. If you attach a local path Accessor to the Internal Agent, the data copied into it will be lost.
