If the CloudSoda UI does not display your macOS storage, follow these troubleshooting steps:
-
Check Agent connectivity:
-
In CloudSoda UI, click Agents and ensure the Agent shows a green, ready status.
- If not, verify bidirectional traffic is allowed on UDP 7498 and UDP 7499 between the Agent and the CloudSoda Controller, e.g. company-region.cloudsoda.io.
-
-
If the Agent shows green/connected status, verify that the CloudSoda Agent has full disk access. If not, follow these steps to grant access.
-
Open System Settings.
- Click Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access > Privacy.
- Click the + icon. When prompted, enter your Mac administrator password, and select soda from /usr/local/bin.
-
- Restart the Agent.
-
Run the following command in a Terminal window:
sudo soda restart
-
- Grant full disk access to the CloudSoda Agent, see Installing the Agent on Linux/macOS, above. For reference, the steps to granting full disk access are:
- Open System Settings.
- Click Privacy & Security.
- Click Full Disk Access.
- To add a file, click the + icon at the bottom and enter your password when prompted.
- Press the Shift+Cmd+G simultaneously, then enter /usr/local/bin and press Enter.
- Scroll and select soda from the list, then click Open.
-
If this does not correct the view, restart the Agent by running the following command in a Terminal window: sudo soda restart
-
