CloudSoda supports two client APIs: GraphQL and REST. This article explains how to set up an API client so you can leverage CloudSoda’s capabilities. If you need API support, refer to CloudSoda API Documentation.
To create an API client, follow these steps:
-
Click Orchestration > Management in the left-hand navigation panel.
The Management page displays and defaults to the Scopes tab.
- Click Clients tab.
The Clients page displays.
- Click Create Client.
The Create New Client dialog box displays.
- Configure the new client:
- Name: Enter the name of the client.
-
Account: Enter the account associated with the client.
- Click Save.
The window updates to display the Client ID and Client Secret key pair, which are used for authentication to the API.
NOTE: Remember to add the newly created client to a role so it can start accessing resources. You can read more about scopes are roles here.
