The storage path configuration is a way to map a DataIntell On-Premises storage to a StorNext storage. It should be noted that to archive or restore files using the StorNext plugin, there should be an On-Premises storage for StorNext and that it should have been scanned at least once.
To do so, one way would be to mount the StorNext storage and create an On-Premises storage in DataIntell with the mounted path.
Once the setup is done, you can go to the Quantum StorNext Integration section in the Data Settings page and create a new Storage Path Configurations.
Within the opened modal, you can fill out the required information:
- On-Premises Storage: The On-Premises storage that you set up to scan the Quantum StorNext storage.
- Quantum StorNext Credentials: The credentials associated to the Quantum StorNext storage.
- DataIntell Path: The path on DataIntell that should be mapped to the StorNext path. Usually, it should at least be the mounted path.
- Quantum StorNext Path: The path on StorNext that should be mapped to the DataIntell path.
An example for the paths would be:
- DataIntell Path: /Volumes/cvfs1/archive
- StorNext Path: /stornext/cvfs1/archive
