Quantum StorNext Integration - Basic configuration

To use Quantum’s StorNext plugin on the DataIntell application, you need to activate the Web Services from the StorNext application. 

From the main menu, go to Service -> Web Services (V2). Once there, you need to change the state to On. You can then use the plugin in DataIntell.

Click on (1) Service, then (2) Web Services (V2).

Then change the (3) State value to On.

From the Quantum StorNext Integration section in the Data Settings page, you can create a new Credentials that will be used to connect DataIntell to StorNext.

From the (1) Data Settings page, go into the Quantum StorNext Integration section and click on the (2) “+” sign.

Within the opened modal, you can fill out the required information:

  • Name: A name to distinguish the different configurations on the DataIntell application. 
  • Username: The username of the user if the Authentication Type on StorNext is set to User. Leave it blank if the Authentication Type is set to None. 
  • Password: The password of the user if the Authentication Type on StorNext is set to User. Leave it blank if the Authentication Type is set to None. 
  • URL: The URL used to connect to the StorNext application. Specify port number if needed. See StorNext documentation for more details.

Fill out the (1) Name, (2) Username, (3) Password and (4) URL to create a new credentials for Quantum StorNext.
