To run an existing policy, follow these steps:

Click Orchestration > Policies in the left-hand navigation panel.
The Policies page displays all existing policies in the card format. To switch to list format, click the List icon next to the search bar.
Each policy card includes the following information:
- Graphic indicating the Source, Target, and policy type (copy, move or sync).
- Number of Rules or filters applied to the policy.
- Job count showing how many times the policy has run.
- Policy status (Active or Paused).
- Circular arrow indicates the policy is running
- Two bars indicate the policy is paused
- Schedule type (Daily, Hourly or Weekly), and a countdown showing when the policy will run next.
To view more details or take action on the policy, click the policy card.

Click a policy to select it and click the ellipsis (...) at the top right of the policy's dialog box.
The policy drop-down displays the following actions:
- Pause/Activate – Pausing a policy stops it from running its scheduled jobs.
- Clone – Clones the policy and creates a new policy.
- Run Now – Runs the policy immediately.
- Edit – Allows you to edit the policy's properties.

Delete – Deletes the policy.
NOTE: Deleting a policy while the job is running does not affect the job. Once the job starts, it will continue until finished. -
Rename – Renames the Policy.

Select a policy action and click Go.
The action is performed.
Policy Actions
As mentioned above, you can perform several actions on existing Policies. This section provides additional information about Policy actions.
Pause/Activate
Use the pause functionality to temporarily suspend a Policy from running. If a Policy is paused, you need to activate it to resume its scheduled run time.
Note: Deleting a Policy while the job is running does not affect the job. Once the job starts, it will continue until finished.
To pause/activate a Policy, follow these steps:

Click on the Policy card you want to edit.

Click the ellipsis (...) at the top right of the policy's dialog box.
The Policy drop-down displays available actions.

Click Pause.
The Policy is now paused.
- To activate the Policy, click the ellipsis (...) at the top right of the policy's dialog box.
The Policy drop-down displays available actions.

Click Activate.
The Policy is now activated and will run as scheduled.
Clone
Cloning a policy allows you to clone a currently existing policy which is an easy way to copy a policy if you have a complex set of rules. Follow the procedure below to Clone a policy:

Click on the Policy card you want to edit.

Click Actions.
The Actions drop-down menu displays.

Click Clone.
-
Click Go.
The Policy window is displayed. From here you can make any edits you like, perform a Dry Run, and deploy the cloned policy.
Delete
You can Delete a policy if it is no longer needed or valid. Follow the procedure below to Delete a policy:

Click Actions.

Click Delete.
-
Click Go.
The Delete Policy Warning window displays.

Type confirm (no caps) in the field.
- Click Confirm.
The policy is deleted, and the Policies window displays.
Edit
You can Edit the properties of a policy at any time. Follow the procedure below to edit a policy:

Click Actions.

Click Edit.
-
Click Go.
The policy window displays with all aspects available to edit.

Make your edits.
-
Click Dry Run to view what the policy will do on its next run
or
Click Deploy to accept the new edit on the next run of the policy.
Run
You can manually Run a policy outside of its typical schedule. Follow the procedure below to manually Run a policy.

Click on the Policy card you want to edit.

Click Actions.
The Actions drop-down menu displays.

Click Run.
- Click Go.
The Jobs window displays with the policy running (at the top of the list).
